SCHOOL TEAM SHOWS DOMINANCE
It was another stellar day at the PIT, but the Alumni needed more than good weather to keep pace with an impressive UCSB squad. The game was never close, the Alumni falling to a 7-0 halftime score. Even the usual 5th quarter comeback against the freshmen was not enough to make the final score worth mentioning. Coach Allen and company laid it on hard and heavy from the beginning, allowing the Alumni only 3 shots by the end of the 1st quarter.
There were 2 other events which took place on Saturday. The first ever Father/Son game was a hit, but may need to be renamed since there were actually 2 daughters who participated. The Hall of Fame Game had a strong turnout, providing the older alums a chance to get back on the PIT and relive some glory.
We are always attempting to improve the Alumni Weekend experience, so look for a new format to provide more playing time for everyone wishing to play against the school team.
